It takes courage to reach out for help when life becomes challenging. Often during the midst of our trials, it can be confusing to know where to turn and what we may need. Therapy can be a useful tool to gain new perspective and understanding of confusing life situations.
What can i expect for my first session?
Our first session will consist of getting to know each other and see if we are a good fit for one another.
will my information be kept confidential?
All information is kept completely confidential, with few exceptions, such as if there is a concern of harm to self or others.
Am I expected to cry or be emotional?
While therapy can bring up some strong emotions, it doesn’t always. Each person is unique in their approach to therapy, as well as their pace.
Will i be prescribed medication?
Typically medication is prescribed by a psychiatrist or medical doctor. If it is deemed recommended for psychiatric medication to be prescribed, a referral will be offered.
